INTRODUCTION:
Education sector is observed to advance constantly. It has witness to a sea of changes that have washed over it, making it more improved and accessible. This article pins out one of such integration of education sector with technology, which has given the conventional classroom a dizzying spin. E-learning comprises the educational curriculum utilizing the electronic technologies to conduct course, program or degree completely online. Digital learning has been modus operandi for the skilled one to upgrade themselves in this automated period. E-learning found it’s acceleration in the curricula of schools and universities amid the lockdown to ensure academic continuity.


CHALLENGES TO E-LEARNING:
Even though the concept of e-learning is set to create momentum in the education sector in the recent years, the challenges are streaming in. Many organizations have embraced e-learning with open arms, but the problems amount to a staggering sky-high heap when it comes to implementing e-learning in country like India. There are serious challenges to quality and effectiveness in online learning which largely remain unaddressed due to overflowing self-congratulatory and feel-good sentiments.
Challenges in implementing E-learnings are :
• HANDINESS OF ELECTRICITY
The primary requirement for conduction of online class is the constant disbursement of electricity. Whether it is city, town or village we all experience the cut off more often. As per statistics from Mission Antyodaya, 43.7% of Indian villages get less than 9-12 hours of electricity, which is less than 50% of the time. Only 47% receive more than 12 hours of electricity. Shortage of electricity makes the use of the electronics reluctant.

• INTERNET STILL A LUXURY !
Internet connectivity adversity is almost faced in every part of our country. Some areas still use 2g and 3g network connectivity. Report by IAMAI – Internet penetration in urban India is 51% and in rural is 27% and overall comes up to be 36%.

• GADGETS DILEMMA
Some sections of the society such as farmers, maids, housecleaners, sweepers and waiters may face difficulties purchasing electronics. Only 30% of population in India is computer literate, such that operation of gadgets cannot be done by everyone. The scheme of distributing cheap ‘Akash’ tablet in 2011 was unsuccessful due to quality and procurement issues. The scheme can be revived in rural areas by the state governments. States like Tamil Nadu have started distributing tabs to students for studies.
It’s a constant threat to the parents of the exposure of the vulnerable environment of the World Wide Web to their toddlers.

• FAVOURABLE ENVIRONMENT
During the study period the students intent for the peaceful environment as well a separate isolated room to impart full concentration. But for the families belonging to the middle class, poor section and the joint family may not get the adequate surrounding for studying.

• ALL NOT TECH-SAVY
Most of teachers are still the digital migrants who are not familiar with the online teaching system. They are facing problem as they have to redesign the methodology of teaching-learning process, rethink their basic tenets in creative form.

• FOCUS SLIPPAGE
It’s tough for the students to be focused throughout the online lectures as it causes boredom after numerous classes. Such that teachers have to be prudential with the methodology to ensure that students are able to grasp the content. Students are also eventually prone to health hazards due to the constant staring at the screen for hours.

• VERNACULAR CONTENT
As our country have plethora of languages and dialects used all over it is way formidable to create a single platform that can entertain people from such diverse background. Incorporating so many languages requires many hours of clever coding, which can sometimes even make the website slower.

• ADAPTABILITY TUSSLE
Still there is lack of awareness for the effectiveness of e-learning which makes its implementation tough. It require time to renovate the traditional education system as it is hard for the people to repose their confidence in it. Evidently, deficit of trust and the human figure is lacuna for the e-learning as the students may end up doubting the authenticity of the system.

• SPECIALLY ABLED STUDENTS
The deaf and hard of hearing students were taken from their offline classes with interpreters and put home with poor ability to adjust the remote learning to their needs as well as amplify these adjustments. Provided that online learning is already a kind of challenge for the students, those deaf or hard of hearing facing a double problem multiplying the chances of falling behind.

• DATA SECURITY CONCERNS
The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated a facilitated sphere for the cyber criminals, unleashing the wave of cyber-attacks. It must be extravagant priority of the digital tools rendering e-learning, to secure the sensitive data about its users.
Since the outbreak of pandemic students, teachers, entrepreneurs, employee, etc. have connected themselves with the digital tool without ensuring there data privacy and the amount of specifics they collected from them. The recent case of Zoom, a remote conference services company that has appeared to store all video conference recordings on storage space without a password, proves we have to thoughtfully approach choosing the digital tools for online learning delivery.

• ISOLATED LIFE
The platform of e-learning have taken away the classroom-like teacher presence, the eye to eye contact, and the social as well physical interactions from the student. Being a psychological factor it is immensely affecting the learning process as well the student’s motivation.

CONCLUSION:
It is imperative to fill the void that is being created between teacher and the students considering the fact that technology cannot replace teachers and teachers’ role. On balance, all modes of learning have their appealing as well gloomy aspects it is evident that some form of blended learning will evolve with e-learning forming the exquisite part of overall teaching and learning process.
